While on a quick little weekend getaway last weekend down in the Gaslamp district of San Diego we had to make a stop at the Cat Eye Club to get our Tiki fix.
The Cat Eye Club is located in Downtown San Diego -right next to Petco park. It is a small little cool Retro cocktail lounge that has a late 50's early 60's feel. It is the perfect little hide away from some of many other bars that litter the Gaslamp area.
As the Cat looks out at you from behind the bar the Lava Lamps are flowing.
We had just come from The Melting Pot so we didn't have any food --but definitely had to try the Cat Tai which consisted of shellback silver white rum, parrot bay coconut rum, pineapple, felernum, and myer's dark rum which is right up my alley.
They also had some live music going that definitely put you in the feel of a the era
We had first heard about the Cat Eye Club last year in an ad at Tiki Oasis --so when I was looking up things to do on our little one night getaway --I came across it in my search which made it onto to our Tiki Bucket list.
It was definitely worth a stop and really put you in a chill retro vibe.
